sometimes, i just think that singaporean culture really sucks. i mean, don't get me wrong,
i love singapore and everything, but sometimes when you trawl the internet and travel and stuff you see the difference in priorities.
like how in other countries, education isn't everything.
or how people are alot more liberal in some cases.
granted, education's one of the things that's made singapore into what it is today, but at what cost?
even though singapore's such a safe, clean, green etc etc place i'm not sure if i'd want to bring up a child in an environment as stressful as this.
if he/she succeeds, then good, but what if he doesn't do well academically?
in singapore, that'd be taken as "oh, GG liao. dunnid to go uni = fail at life." (which is quite true given our local context. how to find job siallll.)
our crazy cost of living, materialistic pressures and kiasu attitude really does suck sometimes.

how cool, in less than 12 hours i'll be in bangkok :D
whooo gonna go there and shop like siao!
man, today felt like the longest day in camp since lull started, couldn't wait to book out in the evening just now to reach home and pack stuff for my trip.
don't get me wrong, i love the fact that everyday's so freaking slack, just that today was reaaaallly draggy.

woo, just realised i haven't really updated my blog ever since i came back from australia ._.
aaaanyway, it was pretty ok la :D
going outfield in australia's quite decent considering the fact that you don't sweat cos of the low humidity;
somemore the last week there was totally slack!
like, everyday was just the same, 3 meals and movies all day long at the camp's canteen.
i think in total we watched maybe 20 odd movies in 4 days, something like that?
yeaaaaaa.
and when we came back to camp 2 days after wallaby the training programme everyday was PT in the morning and 3 meals, along with PSP/read books/talk cock/bathe excessively cos there's nothing better to do.
(sounds familiar, doesn't it? welcome to my life as a combatant during lull period :D)
random stuff that happened the past few weeks:
runchao's band performance and dinner with the 08S16 peeps
watched the social network, RED, HP7, unstoppable, saw 7, She's Outta My League
dinner for the past 2 fridays with NJ shooters
slacking around bugis with yangsheng and finding nice sesame peanut balls at rochor food centre (wah this place is nice man, gotta go eat there sometime soon)
what else arh? can't really remember.
will fill up this space when i do!

when all else fails, watch a movie.
block leave week:
monday- went gymming with kenneth at yiochukang, played bball and watched the movie Buried. oh man, people, don't watch this movie. seriously.
you'll get pretty depressed at the end because even though this movie's pretty novel in terms of cinematography and everything, the ending's just sad.
like WTF sad, makes you curse the director for deceiving your feelings LOL.
because the fella died in the end!
i mean, you see him struggle and everything then in the end he just dies, and the way he dies....aiya.
sian ji pua.
can't help but feel sad for his life.
tuesday- woke up late, like at 11 odd, and bummed around the house before realising it's around 5 in the evening orredy.
tried to go for a run and realised my right hamstring got quite screwed, result of training too much/often. damn.
played pool at nite with yanling, walked to westmall late at night to get stuff to eat after.
wednesday- shopped @ orchard, went to like 3 different zaras in 2 hours. (the 313 one, ion, and taka's one) hehh. bought some stuff, walked around, bummed and enjoyed the feeling of being in orchard on a weekday :D
thursday- went back to nj to see them train, and realised I EHM OLD SIA. wow i realised that i'm like now jiapei's batch, or rather, the new jiapei's batch in comparison to the current exco.
2 years older seh.
today- watched dinner for schmucks, and enjoyed a mcflurry. YESSS! ate breakfast at macs too, and yeaaa that's why my post is titled watch a movie when all else fails. when there's nothing to do, just watch all the movies. or rather, watch those that're entertaining. not one like buried.
did cardio at the gym at nite, reached home and here i am.
a non too wild night before i'm flying off tmr morning.
